English Club: Learning Language Lab with Fun

IPS Group of Colleges took a lead forward for grooming IPS students in the field of communication skills and personality development by forming an English club . IPS English club has been constituted for organizing fun based language activities to enable the students at home in English Language. It was establish in July 2010 with the declaration by the Director, Dr. Arun Kumar Tyagi in the opening ceremony.

The English club has organized several activities to motivate the students for making English Speaking Environment in college Campus. The first activity which was clubbed with opening ceremony and it was organized for the students of BE II sem. 2009 Batch. The activity enabled them to open up in front of audience. The winning Team was BE, Computer Science.

The second activity “Think and Act” was organized for MBA and BE students. The activity was based on enacting the English Proverbs. The performance showed the student’s creativity and competence in expressions. The wining team was BE, Electronics & communication II sem. 2009 Batch.Through this activity students developed interactive skills, interpersonal skills and learned to express their ideas .

In this series, the third activity was organized for the faculty members of IPS, CTM. All the faculty members participated with zeal and zest. The teams were formed department wise. The winning team was the dept. of applied science and humanities. It was a learning, interactive and rejuvenating experience for the faculty members to be a part of IPS Group.
The faculty members were contented as it helped them to crack their shells of hesitation.

Further, English club organized an activity in the month of August for B.Ed, BBA and BCA students. Dr. Rama Tyagi, the Principal motivated the students to participate in such activities to improve their language skills. The winning team was the group of BBA students. The club Coordinators Dr. George Thomas, Head of the MBA Dept., Dr. Vivek Agrawal, Mrs. Sudha Mishra and Dr. Yogita Verma applauded the students for their spirit and efforts in such innovative activities.
