Samanvay 2010 - The Acquaintance
   
Introduction Party of IPS College of Technology and Management “Samanvay 2010 - The Acquaintance” was organized on October’ 10. This programme was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Kumar Tyagi, Director and Mr. P.K. Ghosh, Chief Administrative Officer , Dr. Rama Tyagi ,Principal College of Eduction , Dr. George Thomas Principal IPSCTM of IPS Group of Colleges. The celebrations began by reciting Saraswati vandana and seeking blessings of goddess Saraswati.

Freshers presented cultural programmes like group songs, group dances, solo dances and solo songs and introduced themselves. All the staff members of IPS group of colleges were present during this programme. The programme was a combination of introduction of newcomers and cultural events. A catwalk was organized to choose Mr. & Ms. Fresher.

The Department of Management organized a one day faculty developmentworkshop on 'Application of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) in Research on May 13, 2010 in seminar hall of DOM. Workshop was organized by Dr. George Thomas, (Head, DOM.) and coordinated by Mr. Anil K. Singh (Asst. Proff.).
 
Workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Naval Bajpai & Dr. Manoj Patwardhan (Asst. Prof. ABVP IIITM) who were honorable resource persons. They gave a brief introduction of research concepts. Dr. Naval Bajpai delivered a talk on developing a model for research work. Application of SPSS was taught by Dr. Manoj Patwardhan. It was a highly interactive learning session for the participants. In the valedictory session, certificates for participation were distributed.
   
 
 
First Position in Jiwaji University (1st Sem.)
   
Arjita Kansana, student of MBA 1st Sem made IPS Department of Management proud by securing 1st position in Jiwaji University with 85% of marks. She continued the legacy of IPS DOM by her outstanding performance in academics.
 
Achievements of the students of IPS DOM set benchmarks for their upcoming colleagues to shine high in the sky of knowledge and comprehension.
 
 
First Position in Jiwaji University (3rd Sem.)
   
Nishi Saraf student of MBA 3rd Sem made IPS Department of Management proud by securing 1st position in Jiwaji University. She has crossed all the barriers and her outstanding performance in academics incredibly creates magic of achievements. She again touched another sky after bagging 1st prize in inter collegiate paper presentation competition of IPS group of colleges .
 
 
Change: The Utmost Need - March 27, 2010
   

Dr. Manoj Patwardhan, (Prof. ABVIIITM Gwalior). delivered a talk on “Management of Change". He gave a beautiful thought of Jack Welch: “When the rate of change outside exceeds the rate of change inside, the end is in sight”. He gave the insight about the change barriers & its management.

 
He also taught the students that how to manage & motivate the different type of employees in the organization through an interesting activity. It was very fruitful lecture for the students.
 
 
Rang De Basanti - January 20, 2010
   
On the occasion of Basant Panchami DOM organized inter college competitions of Painting and Quiz. Painting competition was held at seminar hall of DOM. The function was inaugurated by the Director. Dr. Mrs.Rama Tyagi (Principal B.Ed and B.P.Ed)and Assistant Director Mr. Ashwini Mishra were also present.
 
The Director motivated all the student participants and declared the event open. Students of different colleges of IPS group participated with great enthusiasm and the participants tried to put the best of their ideas and imagination on sheet.The themes were ‘Global Warming, Nature & Power of One’. Painting competition was judged by Mrs.Neeta Pahariya, Mrs. Anita Gaur and Mr. Rajeev Shrivastava. The winners of painting competition were:
1st Hemlata Vishwakarma, 2nd Ragini Sharma (DOM), and 3rd Sandhya Chaudhary (B.P.Ed).
 
 
Cultural Heritage by Mrs. Shovna Narayan
   
Diversity of cultures and traditions is respected by IPS group of Colleges. The students of IPS experienced divine performance of KATHAK by Padma Shree Mrs. Shovana Narayan. Kathak is the dance form in which stories are expressed by different gestures and postures.

 
With her glorious dance performance Mrs Shovana Narayan mesmerized the spectators. She taught the students different forms of dance gestures and postures that reflects the rich Indian culture and heritage. It was so interesting that the dance hypnotized all the students and made them feel the richness and purity of Indian Art & Dance forms.
 
We have also experienced the fantastic performance by Rajasthani folk group namely KALBELIYA NRATYA. It is basically performed by girls wearing black skirts with white spots. There were 10 members in the group. It was organized in the open garden near canteen in the campus.
